- Choose a password length between 8 and 64 characters.
- Select the character types required by the service.
- Generate a password and copy it to your password manager.
Example
For everyday accounts, choose at least 16 characters with several character types. Use a different password for each account.
Generated passwords are not saved by the site. Copying places a password on the device clipboard, which can be visible to other software or users on a shared device.
Questions
How are passwords generated?
The generator uses your browser’s cryptographic random number generator with rejection sampling. Each selected character type appears at least once, and the characters are shuffled.
Are generated passwords stored?
No. Passwords are generated only in the current browser page. They are not saved in local storage or sent to a server. Copying puts the password on your device clipboard.
